Seaford Police assist MSP in Cherry Beach Park shooting investigation
SEAFORD, Del. – Seaford Police say they turned over information to Maryland State Police regarding a weekend shooting in Sharptown.
At around 2 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to the Meadowbridge Apartments to help a juvenile who requested an ambulance due to having glass in her back. It was learned that the juvenile was a passenger in a vehicle near Cherry Beach Park in Sharptown, Maryland and was injured when the vehicle was hit by gunfire.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where she was treated and released.
At the scene, officers found two vehicles with visible bullet holes, one of which was identified as the vehicle the juvenile was a passenger in.
