Salisbury police respond to assault call

SALISBURY, Md. – Police responded to a call of an assault with a machete, Sundy evening.

The call came out of the 400 block of Virginia avenue in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the 30-year-old male victim told police he was at the residence to speak with the 33-year-old suspect.

At some point during the discussion, the suspect obtained a machete and began swinging it at the victim. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect has been identified and police are applying for criminal charges through the district court commissioner’s office.
