Salisbury man convicted on rape and sex offense charges
WICOMICO CO. Md. – A Salisbury man has been convicted on second-degree rape, third-degree sexual offense and related offenses. Twenty-four-year-old JN Karl Felix was convicted this week in a Wicomico County courtroom.
Last year, Felix asked the victim, a family friend, to help him drop his car off at a local mechanic’s shop. They went to an apartment to get a key to another vehicle – and that’s where he began kissing her and touching her against her will and without her consent. DNA evidence linked Felix to the crimes.
Wicomico County States Attorney Jamie Dykes says, “Perpetrators of sexual assaults attempt to strip survivors of their power and sense of security. I hope that this survivor finds peace and solace in this jury’s considered and just verdict.”
Sentencing will occur following a pre-sentence investigation. Felix will remain in custody until then.
