Powellville Volunteer Fire Company hosting back to school movie night
POWELLVILLE, Md. – Grab your lawn chair and a bucket of popcorn! The Powellville Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting a back-to-school night Saturday, August 17th.
The event centers around an outdoor movie-night. The community votes on Facebook to decide what they want watch.
The fire company will also be giving out free school supplies to kids and families who might not be able to afford all of the typical back-to-school shopping.
“We want to be able to give back to the community because they give to us in so many ways. and that’s that’s what we’re here for. You know, we want to give back to them,” said Powellville VFC public information officer Jodi Satterfield.
The back-to-school movie night will start once the sun goes down Saturday evening. The fire company says the community chose Trolls as the film of the night.
