Operation to combat prostitution leads to four arrests in Dover
DOVER, Del. – Law enforcement recently conducted an operation aimed at hindering prostitution in the City of Dover.
Dover Police worked with the Delaware Department of Justice in this operation, which was conducted in July. On August 22nd, law enforcement conducted an operation focused on identifying people engaged in prostitution, with the goal of contacting the individuals to offer them resources such as food, housing, and hygiene products. Additionally, law enforcement provided resources to help with substance abuse and mental health.
As a result, officers located a total of six women engaged in prostitution. The women were connected with professionals who offered services that were suitable to their needs.
Police say four people were arrested as a result of the operation.
