OCPD searching for man wanted in connection to assault of child

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a wanted assault suspect.

At around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, police say they were called to the area of 117th Street for a reported assault that had just taken place. The suspect allegedly assaulted a 6-year-old boy in a public restroom before fleeing the area.

The suspect was described as a man, possibly of middle eastern decent, approximately 35 years old, heavy set, with a dark colored beard. He was last seen wearing light blue shorts, dark shoes, and was carrying a white t-shirt.
