OCEAN PINES, Md. – The Ocean Pines Association is urging residents and visitors to take an active role in keeping the community clean, particularly in and around the Yacht Club premises.

Concerns have been raised about the accumulation of debris, including beverage cans, cups, napkins, cigarette butts, cigarette packages and dog waste left behind during peak weekend activities. “Maintaining a clean and safe environment is crucial for the well-being of all who visit or live in Ocean Pines,” General Manager John Viola said. “We have noticed that the issue is more prevalent during the summer months when many visitors frequent the Yacht Club, often leaving behind litter that not only tarnishes the beauty of our community, but also poses health risks.”
To help combat these issues, Viola said the Association will increase signage at the Yacht Club, install additional trash cans, and attempt to raise public awareness through online and social media posts. “We believe that by working together, we can maintain the beauty and cleanliness of Ocean Pines for everyone to enjoy,” he said. The Association invites all members of the community to be part of the solution by disposing of their trash properly and picking up after their pets.
