Nominations sought for Community Foundation Awards

SALISBURY, Md-, The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore is seeking nominations for the Community Foundation Awards.

The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore annually recognizes individuals and organizations that are involved in making a positive impact in the community.
There are three separate awards that a person or an organization can be nominated for the following awards: the Mary Gladys Jones Volunteer of the Year Award, the Richard A. Henson Award, and the Frank H. Morris Humanitarian Award.
President of the foundation Erica Joseph tells us why these awards are important to the community.

Joseph says” Well we do these awards every year but this year is particularly special because it’s our 40 year anniversary and all three of these awards are named for individuals who have been pillars in our area and part of the community foundation since its founding.”

Recipients must first be nominated for an award and then selected by a committee of community volunteers.
Winners will be announced on November 1st.
