Local foundation grants special wish in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. – If you could have one wish, what would it be? For John Joeseph Dryer, his wish was to eat a nice meal at the Harrison Harborwatch in Ocean City, while watching the boats come in.

Thanks to Carolyn Dryzga with the Twighlight Wish Foundation, Dyer’s wish came true.

“We’re not changing the world, we’re just putting a smile on a senior’s face, one senior at a time,” Dryzga said.

The foundation aims at celebrating elderly individuals on Delmarva, giving those like Dyer the opportunity to choose an experience they’ve always wanted to have, and live it out, surrounded by their loved ones.

With all of his time serving his country in the Airforce, Dryzga said granting Mr. Dyer’s wish was a no brainer.

“This gentleman that we’re honoring tonight is a Korean War Veteran, so he definitely has demonstrated his service to his country, and he’s raised six children successfully,” Dryzga said.
