Irrigation Copper Wire Thefts In Greenwood

GREENWOOD, Del – Delaware State Police have arrested one person and are searching for another after copper wire was stolen from irrigation systems in Kent and Sussex Counties.

40-year-old Dorothy Wooleyhand of Greenwood was arrested on multiple felony charges — and police are searching for 39-year-old Michael Plummer as part of the investigation.

Between April 12 and August 16, detectives copper wire was stolen from irrigation systems in the Bridgeville, Greenwood, and Houston areas.
In each of the incidents, the suspects trespassed onto private properties, cut and removed the wire from pivot irrigation systems, and caused significant damage to the equipment. Police urge anyone with information on Plummer’s whereabouts to contact them.
