Investigation into Ridgely PD concludes, no criminal charges pursued

RIDGELY, Md. – The Town of Ridgely says the investigation into the Ridgely Police Department has concluded.

We’re told the Office of the State Prosecutor wrapped up the investigation and is not pursuing criminal charges.

Town Commissioners are reminding the public that there are limitations on the information that it can publicly share regarding confidential personnel matters. In addition, the investigation was initiated and conducted by the Office of the State Prosecutor and not the Town.

The investigation began in March of this year, and the entire Ridgely Police Department was suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
