How Ocean City Beach Patrol will deal with Tropical Storm Ernesto
OCEAN CITY, Md – Tropical Storm Ernesto has brought powerful rip currents across the east coastal line of the country.
Today, Ernesto was officially categorized as a tropical storm, but trends have shown, that it could go right back into a category 1 hurricane.
Ocean City hasn’t seen too much of a problem though, but Ocean City Beach Patrol is preparing for the worst, Beach Patrol lieutenant, Mike Stone said they fortunately have not had to deal with the negative effects of Ernesto.
“You can prep a little bit ahead of time but for the most part Ocean City, was unscathed, and we’ve had a lot of wave action for the surf, but for the most part not too bad at all.” Said, Stone.
If you find yourself in trouble, Stone urges you to wave down an on-duty lifeguard for help.
