Goonies Fest is coming soon!
DELEWARE – Goonies and Good times! The Revival House is hosting is 6th annual Fundraising event, and this time it’s a Goonies Fest.
The Revival House, which organized the event, is a cinematic event organization that holds showcases, contests, and fundraisers. Rob Rector is one of the founders of the Revival House and loves to put on this event. He says that they change the event’s name every year, but they consistently do it around an iconic film. Their first-ever event was “Jaws Fest” followed by “Jurassic Fest” for Jurassic Park.
In the past, the event has raised over $50,000 for Beebe Hospital, and this is the way they give back to the first responders. They will have vendors, live music, and fun stuff for the kids. He says that the movie and name “Goonies Fest” fit along with their past themes, and he’s excited to see the turnout this year. “We felt like Goonies fit along there with that family-friendly intergenerational film that all the parents have grown up with, and all their kids are beginning to discover… We encourage you to come dress up as your favorite goonies character, or dress as a pirate, you know come and have fun and celebrate it anyway you know how.”
Organizers say the event will take place at the Hudson Fields Saturday August 24th. Gates open at 6:00 pm and though is free to the public, donations are welcomed to help them reach their fundraising goals.
