Good Morning Delmarva features Sammy, a Delmarva Fox Squirrel

SALISBURY, Md. – Once a month, GMD features an animal from the Salisbury Zoo.

For August, we’re meeting Sammy, a Delmarva Fox Squirrel, and a newcomer at the zoo.

Travis Zimmerman, a zookeeper tells us, that Sammy is a spunky furry friend with a lot of love to give, who recently featured in National Geographic as an ambassador for her species who almost went extinct.

They’re open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily and offer free admission and parking.
