Good Morning Delmarva discusses Wor-Wic’s new degree program
WMDT – Wor-Wic Community College has a new degree program focused on risk management and insurance.
Matthew Geel, head of the business department, stopped by to tell us more about the program and how it prepares you for a career.
Geel says that this new associate degree program is for people interested in becoming an insurance agent or those who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
Wor-Wic is partnering with the University of Baltimore to allow those that graduate from this program to transfer there.
He says students can expect to learn basic business skills and specialized skills that can earn you a certification.
We’re told there is a huge demand for this type of work in the community and Geel says he anticipates students to have offers before graduating.
