Good Morning Delmarva discusses the Community Players fundraiser

WMDT – The community players are working on converting their building into a performing arts center.

To help, they are having a fundraiser where you can purchase a theater chair.

This morning, Matt Bogdan, is here to tell us more about how you can help support the local arts.

He says that the Community Players have been using the same building since 2014 and now are hosting audiences to small shows inside.

They want to renovate the space to include risers and new chairs to provide a more welcoming space.

You can purchase a theater chair for just $50 dollars!

It will come with a plaque for your name, or you can dedicate it to someone else.

Bogdan also tells us there’s always opportunities to either be a part of a show or help out behind the scenes.

In fact, they have auditions for two upcoming shows:

One is called Para-Cles with auditions on August 11th and 12th at 6 p.m.

The other is Guys & Dolls which will be hosting auditions August 25th through 27th.

Matt say he hopes the theatre can continue to grow bigger with more community support.
