Good Morning Delmarva discusses Locals Under the Lights

WMDT – The Freeman Arts Pavilion is hosting another Locals Under the Lights event September 15th.

It’s a talent showcase in both English and Spanish they started hosting at the Hispanic Festival last year.

This morning, Lindsay Richard, the community engagement director, are here to tell us how performers can sign up to be a part of the show.

Richard says that they will be accepting application for local Latino artists in Delaware and Maryland.

She says this is a big opportunity for smaller artists to showcase their music to a big audience.

Last year, they had three performers including a High School Student!

They say there’s so much great talent on Delmarva and they want to highlight that for all to see.

This is another step towards expanding arts access in the area especially to the Latino community.

The application deadline is August 15th.
