Former DAFB Chief Master Sergeant pleads guilty to possession of child sex abuse material
DELAWARE – A former Chief Master Sergeant stationed at Dover Air Force Base has pleaded guilty to possession of child sex abuse material.
According to statements made in court, the investigation into 42-year-old Paul Wilcox began when law enforcement received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reporting that a Google account holder uploaded the material to the internet in May 2023. Wilcox was identified as the owner and user of the Google account, and a search of the account by law enforcement confirmed that Wilcox was the one who uploaded the child sex abuse material to his Google account.
U.S. Attorney Weiss released a statement on the plea, saying, “Prosecuting individuals who choose to prey upon and exploit the most vulnerable members of our community remains a priority for my office. We will work tirelessly with our law enforcement partners to expose the perpetrators of these heinous crimes and bring them to justice.”
