DELAWARE – First State Educate has just announced mini-grants to help empower school boards across the First State.

FSE has a total funding pool of 10 thousand dollars to give, and applications will be accepted starting August 26th and ending on October 11th.

To be eligible, applicants must be able to demonstrate a history of effective leadership and have participated in at least FSE meetings this year.

Chief Strategy and Operations Officer, Julia Keleher, said the purpose of the new initiative is to provide solutions in the school system.

“What do you think is important in your school district, what’s a challenge you have, how can we support you, how can we invest in you and your district to solve that problem, said Keleher.

Applicants who are approved, after the initial screening process, must undergo an interview process in early November. Recipients of the grant will be announced on November 29th and funds will be distributed in December.
