Ellendale shooting leaves one injured

ELLENDALE, Del. – An investigation is underway after a shooting left one person injured in Ellendale Tuesday night.

Just before 10:30 p.m., troopers were called to the 18000 block of New Hope Road for a reported shooting. It was learned that an unknown suspect fired several rounds from an unknown dark-colored vehicle. The suspect and suspect vehicle reportedly then fled in an unknown direction.

Troopers found several shell casings at the scene.

While investigating, troopers learned that a 30-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot wound to his leg at a nearby hospital.
