DOC escapee arrested in Hollybrook Apartments

LAUREL, Del – An escapee from up north has been detained by a officer patrolling the Hollybrook Apartments on Pasture Lane.

The Officer on duty observed a male subject acting suspiciously, and the officer proceeded to conduct a pedestrian stop to investigate the subject for loitering/and or trespassing in the apartment complex. The suspect proceeded to not identify himself and decided to resist arrest and fled on foot, imitating a foot pursuit.

Upon apprehending the suspect he was later identified as 23-year-old Daniel J Stanley of Wilmington Delaware. It was discovered he had an active warrant for an Escape After Conviction issued by the Delaware Department of Corrections.

He was transported to the Laurel Police Department, where he was charged with resisting arrest. He was then released on a $5,000 cash bond.
