Del. Municipal Electric Corp. customers encouraged to reduce energy usage due to high temps

SEAFORD, Del. – Due to high temperatures and energy demand, Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation customers are asked to voluntarily reduce electric use Monday afternoon.

Power Saver Hours are from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Customers are encouraged to lower their electric use during these hours to save money now and in the future.

Simple steps such as cooking on the grill instead of the oven and keeping the AC unit clear to save energy and dodge repairs can help.
