Boat docking challenge race invades Pocomoke City Saturday
POCOMOKE CITY, MD – The 11th annual boat docking challenge of Pocomoke City will be taking place this Saturday, August 17th.
The yearly race will feature some of the fastest boats on the lower eastern shore as captains look to dock their boats in record time. The gates will open at 11 am but the races will not start until 1.
President of the Pocomoke boat docking challenge Mike Shannon said this is more about the people and not the waterman. “I think it’s more about the spectators, the spectators come, the sponsor’s sponsor, but it’s a great and joyous time to get out and be with the people of your area, to come out and enjoy your time, the beautiful weather scenery and watch some good ole country racing.” Said, Shannon.
The funds, received from the event will go into their scholarship donations for Pocomoke High School graduating seniors this school year.
Waterman can still register their boat, up until the event, for more information click here.
