Water main to be repaired in Seaford
SEAFORD, Del. – A water main is scheduled to be shut off temporarily on Wednesday in the Seaford area.
Starting at around 8 a.m., crews will shut off a large distribution water main on Herring Run Road for repair. As a result, the direction of the water flow will be changed, causing the water to stir up deposits in the main and possibly resulting in discolored water. Officials say the water is safe to consume, however, they recommend limiting water use until the repair is completed and turned back in service. Residents are encouraged to only open one tap until it runs clear, and refrain from doing any laundry during the repair.
Crews say repairs should be completed and water turned back on by 5 p.m., barring any unforeseen issues.
