Serious crash involving a stolen motorcycle is under investigation in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Police in Dover are currently investigating a crash that left two minors seriously injured.

According to police, around 10:30 last night, a 15-year-old was driving recklessly in a stolen motorcycle from Philadelphia.

After investigating, the police learned the driver had been drinking alcohol.

They ran multiple stop lights with a 14-year-old passenger before the crash.

They were nearing Lepore Drive on North DuPont Highway when they ran another stop light hitting a Honda CRV attempting to make a U-turn.

Both of the minors were left with serious injuries and were taken to the nearest hospital.

The 15-year-old is facing DUI, vehicular assault 2nd degree, and receiving stolen property charges amongst others.
