One arrested in connection to Easton shooting
EASTON, Md. – A suspect has been taken into custody following a shots fired investigation in Easton.
On Tuesday, officers were called to 11 Jowite Street for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived at the scene to find a crowd of people in the area of the 300 and 400 buildings, and made contact with residents who reported they were shot at. No one was found to be injured.
Through further investigation, the suspect was identified as 18-year-old D’avin Lake. An arrest warrant was issued for Lake, who was found at a Georgetown residence on Friday. Lake was served with the arrest warrant in connection to this investigation, and it was learned that Lake had a second warrant out for his arrest for burglary and assault.
The first warrant charged Lake with five counts of attempted second degree murder, five counts of reckless endangerment, five counts of possession of a firearm used during a felony, five counts of first degree assault, five counts of second degree assault, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace. The second warrant charged Lake with third degree burglary, second degree assault, trespassing, and false imprisonment.
