Milford Library awarded $380k from Community Reinvestment Program
MILFORD, Del. – Delaware’s Office of the Controller General recently announced grant recipients for the Community Reinvestment Program.
Among a number of Milford-area non-profits awarded funds was the Milford Public Library, who will be receiving over $380,000 for renovations and refurbishment.
Library officials said the footprint of the existing building is great, but there are a number of projects that would significantly improve its functionality.
“The goal is to make a functioning library that is a 21st century library, that can meet the needs of our community members individually, but also different groups,” said Lea Rosell, Director of the Milford Public Library.
Rosell said projects in the near future include: installing a new HVAC system, renovating the bathrooms, fixing electrical issues, and updating signage to make it as accessible as possible.
