Good Morning Delmarva discusses the urgent need for school bus drivers in the area.
WMDT – Delmarva School Systems are in need of bus drivers!
If you are looking for a part-time position this maybe the perfect opportunity for you.
This morning, Paul Jefferson, stopped by to tell us more about how you can apply and why this is so important.
He tells us that there so many open positions because many employees are aging out or retiring.
Jefferson says bus driving may not be as popular as other professions, but it’s very much needed in our community.
They want young people to become more interested in applying for the job, because being able to engage politely with children is a must, and they can relate more to them.
He also says many think that it’s hard to become a bus driver or that it has a lot of requirements, but that’s false.
Jefferson emphasizes that it’s a unique experience that gives you the privilege of traveling to different locations instead of being in an office.
