Good Morning Delmarva discusses the 2024 Sharptown Carnival

WMDT – The Sharptown Carnival is an annual event that is beloved in the Delmarva community.

It will be returning August 1st through 24th.

This morning, John Cooper, the president for the Sharptown Fire Department, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us more.

Cooper tells us this is a family event that everyone will love. You can expect to see a new building and a few different games this year.

He tells us this event wouldn’t be possible without the support of the community.

It’s a lot of work to put the event together, but they volunteer their time to ensure Delmarva residents have a chance to have a bit of fun.

The carnival also serves as a fundraiser for those that devote their time and risk their lives working at the fire department.

They will be open Monday through Saturday starting at 7 a.m.

They will be closed on Sundays.
