First State Educate to lead training initiatives for Delaware schools
DELAWARE – First State Educate, is on a mission to help public schools across Delaware, with training sessions for school boards in public education.
Delaware ranks in the country’s bottom 10% of all states, in reading and math in grades four through eight, and only 31% of students meet state standards for Math and only 41% meet the standard in English.
The FSE group refers to these statistics as a ‘crisis’, and chief strategy and operations officer Julia Keleher said they must train officials in school districts to begin reform.
“How do you set an effective agenda — how do you manage public comment — how do you respond to concerns from the public — how do you write a policy.”
