DCHS event ‘Let’s Talk Timber’ in Cambridge MD

CAMBRIDGE, Md – The Dorchester County Historical Society is hosting a timber event tonight at 7 pm.

The presentation will encompass how Native Americans, enslaved people, and early settlers took part and affected our history forever.

To attend the event, people must pay 5 dollars if they are non-members of DCHS, and it’s free to members of the historical society.

Trustee Tom Bradshaw said the timber industry is most important in Delmarva. More important than people think, “It overshadows the seafood industry as a whole in the state, it’s part of our history, culture, and heritage on the shore and especially in Dorchester County. said Bradshaw.
