UPDATE: Victim in Milton shooting dies from injuries

MILTON, DEL – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Milton early Monday morning.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., troopers were called to the 14000 block of Collins Street in Milton for a report of a shooting. Troopers arrived at the scene to find a 19-year-old man who had reportedly been shot in the upper torso. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The victim died as a result of his injuries the following day, and on Thursday he was identified as 19-year-old Ryan Simpson.
