Wicomico County Public Library in need of donations

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Public Library encouraged donating through a new summer program.

The ‘Giving Sunshine 12 weeks of Summer Generosity Program’ welcomes anyone who is able to drop off donations to the library, to do so this summer, in exchange for a special token for your generosity.

Youth services manager, Karen Earp, said this is the time to do some summer cleaning and drop off any gently used items, for those in need.

“[We] gamify giving by requesting items that [we have] the greatest needs for, and then rewarding people with buttons or virtual badges when they give them,” Earp said.

The library is especially in need of clothes, water and hygiene products.
