String of copper wire thefts in Sussex, Kent Counties under investigation
DELAWARE – Delaware State Police are investigating a string of copper wire thefts in the Greenwood and Houston areas.
We’re told over the past month, several area farms have had copper wiring stolen from irrigation systems. Police say the crimes appear to have happened between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The suspects are trespassing onto farm properties and cutting copper wires ranging from 50 feet to several hundred feet.
