Shooting investigation leads to arrest of Dover man
DOVER, Del. – A Dover man was arrested on multiple charges following a shots fired incident Sunday afternoon.
At around 12:30 p.m., troopers were called to the area of Becky Lane for a report of shots fired. Troopers learned that the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Anthony Hatton, ran into the wooded area near Tidbury Park and fired one round from a firearm following an argument with his neighbors. Hatton was located at the scene, at which time troopers noticed multiple signs of impairment and took him into custody.
There were no injuries or property damage reported at this time.
Hatton was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first degree reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm while under the influence, and menacing. He was held at SCI on a $22,000 cash bond.
