Sharptown home destroyed in fire
SHARPTOWN, Md. – Fire marshals are working to determine what caused a fire that destroyed a Sharptown home Thursday evening.
Firefighters were called to 11414 Tower Hill Lane shortly after 8 p.m. for a reported house fire. A total of 80 firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze, which took approximately six hours to control.
Unfortunately, two family pets died in the fire. Total damage has been estimated at over $1 million, and the American Red Cross was called in to help the family.
