1280 Ashlee Scott New

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury woman has been sentenced to 50 years behind bars for attempted murder.

The charges stem from an incident on August 20, 2023. We’re told the victim and his friends were enjoying a backyard barbecue when Ashlee Scott and four co-conspirators robbed them at gunpoint. When the victim turned to flee, he was shot in the back of the neck, subsequently paralyzing him.

Scott was convicted by a jury in April of attempted first and second degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, four counts of first degree assault, firearm use in a crime of violence, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and other related charges. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered, and she remained in custody pending sentencing.
