Salisbury house fire under investigation
SALISBURY, Md. – The Office of the State Fire Marshall is investigating a single-family home fire.
Officials say the blaze broke out on Pratt Road in Salisbury at 6:20 P.M. Hebron Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene after a neighbor discovered the fire. The origin of the fire took place on the rear deck and spread throughout the home. One 25-year-old male firefighter was injured; he was taken to TidalHealth with non-life-threatening injuries.
Damages are estimated over $100,000. Fire officials say there was a present smoke alarm, however, no fire alarm was present.
The fire took 30 minutes to control and the fire is still under investigation at this time.
