Route 50 Drawbridge repairs to begin this week in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Work is scheduled to begin on the Route 50 Drawbridge in Salisbury this week.

This includes repairs to the drawbridge including steel work, replacing roadway support purlins, retrofits, and joint seals.

As a result, single lane closures will be needed daily on the drawbridge between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. beginning Wednesday, June 5th. Motorists should expect traffic delays on West Main Street and Mill Street. Alternate routes include West Isabella Street going east and west, North Salisbury Boulevard, or the Bypass to go north and south.
