One dead, two injured in early morning Camden crash

CAMDEN, Del. – An early morning crash in Camden claimed the life of one and injured two others.

At around 5 a.m., police say a 2009 Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on Walnut Shade Road, west of Barney Jenkins Road. At the same time, a 2016 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Walnut Shade Road, approaching the Cadillac. For unknown reasons, the Cadillac allegedly failed to maintain its lane and crossed into the centerline, ultimately colliding with the Honda.

The driver of the Honda, identified as 31-year-old Brian Moore of Magnolia, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Cadillac, 18-year-old Bear, Delaware man, was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger, a 19-year-old Harrington woman, was flown to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
