Ocean View man arrested for home improvement fraud
LEWES, Del. – An Ocean View man has been charged in connection to a home improvement fraud investigation.
On Thursday, a Lewes resident reported that he entered into a contract with a man, identified as Jeremy Bowen, back in February, to complete construction of a pool and fence. The resident reportedly paid a down payment of $16,450, and after receiving the deposit, the victim reportedly stopped hearing from Bowen. The victim contacted police after many attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.
On Friday, detectives arrested Bowen and charged him with home improvement fraud over $1,500, a felony due to the victim being over 62 years old.
Police say Bowen, who currently conducts business under the company names of Delmarva Landscape Solutions and Shoreline Escapes, has previously been arrested and charged with home improvement fraud eight separate times since 2017.
