Ocean Pines man arrested for violating protective order

OCEAN PINES, Md. – An Ocean Pines man was arrested late Monday night following an investigation into the violation of a protective order.

At around 10:15 p.m., officers were called to a residence for the report of a man, identified as 34-year-old Danny Musser, on the premises in violation of a protective order. The officer arrived at the scene to find Musser in the garage, in violation of the protective order issued to him just three hours prior that barred him from the property.

As the officer placed Musser under arrest, he allegedly spit in the face of a Worcester County Sheriff’s Deputy who had arrived at the scene to assist. He was subsequently charged with second degree assault and violation of a protective order, and was released after posting bond.
