Ocean City departments respond to jet ski incident

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Saturday night the Ocean City Fire Department, along with Ocean City Police, responded to a jet ski incident in the water near the Route 90 bridge in Ocean City.

At 7 p.m., multiple departments were dispatched after there were reports of a jet ski accident. The victim in the water, an adult female, was reportedly in cardiac arrest.

She was pulled ashore where bystanders began administering CPR. Ocean City Paramedics then administered additional life-saving measures. The victim was transported to Tidal Health-Penninsula Regional.

One police officer was injured during the event was also transported to the hospital for treatment.

The incident is under investigation by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police.
