Maryland agencies come together to educate the public

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The annual Ocean City public safety expo is just a few days away.
Event coordinator and Ocean City Fire Department PIO, Ryan Whittington, said this is a perfect way to familiarize the public with all of the different first responder agencies, especially with summer starting, so people know who to call on when help is needed.
“We’re going to have first responders from all types of disciplines. From police officers, Troopers, Sheriffs deputies and we’re going to have canines there with the State Fire Marshall’s office, where they’ll be doing a demonstration on canines doing accelerant smelling,” Whittington said.
