Man sentenced for sexually abusing child in Wicomico Co.

WICOMICO CO., Md. – A New Jersey man was sentenced in Wicomico County this week for sex offense charges.

41-year-old Kiowa West pleaded guilty in December 2023 to second degree sexual offense and attempted second degree sexual offense. The charges stem from an investigation that revealed that for several years between 2011 and 2018, West sexually abused a minor under the age of 13.

West was sentenced to a total of 40 years behind bars. He will be subject to lifetime sexual offender registration on release and will be required to register as a Tier III sex offender for life.
