Lazarus Food Pantry open for residents in need

SALISBURY, Md- The Salisbury Urban Ministries is sponsoring a food drive at the Grace Methodist Church.

It is located at 326 Barclay Street and serves all of Wicomico County.

The Food Pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m, and is located at 326 Barclays Street.

The program seeks to assist the economically deprived citizens in Wicomico County. To be eligible, you must be a county resident and only receive food from the pantry once per month.

Food Pantry Coordinator, Jerry Palmer, said that all are welcome if they are in need.

“It’s so important because it’s just the need, there is a need for this community. We try to be available as much as we can. The timeframe from 10-12, to us, is more convenient for the population in this neighborhood.” said Palmer.
