Laurel man charged with intent to deliver crack cocaine

LAUREL, Del. – A man was detained Friday night after police found him in possession of crack cocaine.

At roughly 9 pm Friday, the Laurel Police Department conducted a traffic stop near Little Creek Apartments.

During the stop, the driver, Heriberto Ortiz-Bedolla, was observed by police to be in possession of plastic bags that contained what appeared to be illicit drugs. In searching the car, police found small baggies of crack cocaine packaged for sale, along two other larger bags.

Ortiz-Bedolla was taken into custody and charged with two felonies: Possession with Intent to Deliver Tier 2 Quantity Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Tier 2 Quantity Crack Cocaine.

He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on $20,001 unsecured bail.
