Good Morning Delmarva features Tank the tortoise from the SBY Zoo

SALISBURY, Md. – Once a month, GMD features an animal from the Salisbury Zoo.

We’re meeting Tank the Tortoise! This African Sulcata Spurred tortoise can be found in the Sahara Desert, and parts of northern central Africa. Ally Wright, a veterinary technician at the zoo tells us, that Tank has a big personality, and at times can be a bit silly.

The care team at the zoo tells us Tank had an abscess on his leg and ended up having five surgeries. However, Tank is very used to being cared for, and we’re told was a wonderful patient.
