It’s an opportunity to cruise through scenic areas of Sussex County while supporting their efforts to provide local meals every day.

Meals on Wheels of Lewes and Rehoboth began in 1976 and was the first office in the first state.

Their volunteers serve over 18,000 meals a year!

Hofheimer says most of the volunteers are retired individuals just trying to help the community.

Gil also says they hold three events a year and its support of the community that helps them continue to serve those who are home bound.
