Good Morning Delmarva discusses Sussex Academy Summer Social ’24

47ABC – On Saturday, June 15th, Sussex Academy will be hosting their summer social!

It’s an opportunity for the community to have fun and celebrate while fundraising for a create cause.

This morning, Sade Truiett, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us more about the event, purchasing tickets, and sponsorship.

Truiett says this is the charter school’s first summer social ever!

They will be hosting it at Salted Vines Winery which is actually owned by the parents of a Sussex Academy student.

It’s a great way to kick off the start of summer and celebrate the end of the school year!

Sade tells us there will be food, drinks, and music available to those that attend.

The fundraiser will help the school provide new opportunities for its students such as expanding their science labs and updating technologies.

Truiett says she’s excited for the community to see what the school has been doing and the opportunity to show how much they want to give back to the community.

The event is set for 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Frankford, Delaware.
